These strands of Japanese saltwater Akoya pearls have each earned the Hanadama grade from Pearl Science Laboratory (PSL) in Tokyo, a title the lab gives only to Akoya pearls that reach its top standard for luster and nacre thickness. The 8-8.5mm pearls are round and bright white with rose and silver overtones, and show the deep, mirror-like luster Hanadama strands are prized for.

Every strand shares the same PSL Hanadama grade and size, but no two are exactly alike: luster, overtone and surface differ slightly from strand to strand, so each one is priced on its own.
