We want everyone to be able to use yensjewelry.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the standard recommended for making websites usable by people with disabilities.
What we have done
- Text descriptions for meaningful images, and hidden labels for icon buttons such as the menu, carousel controls and social links
- Full keyboard access, including the header menus, with a visible outline showing where you are on the page
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page
- Text and link colors chosen to meet WCAG contrast requirements
- Labeled form fields and standard controls on our contact form
- A pause button on the auto-scrolling Instagram carousel
- Page animations that switch off automatically if your device is set to reduce motion
We check the site with automated accessibility testing and by hand, and we review it again whenever we add new pages or features.
Known limitations
Some content comes from other services, such as our Instagram feed and articles on other publishers’ websites, and may not fully meet these guidelines. A few older pages are still being updated. If something gets in your way, please tell us.
