This policy explains what information Yen’s Jewelry & Accessories, Inc. (“Yen’s Jewelry,” “we,” “us”) collects through yensjewelry.com and in the course of doing business with you, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Effective date: October 2026
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Trade account applications: your name, business name and type, website, business address, email, phone number, seller’s permit or resale certificate number, federal tax ID (EIN), any documents you upload to verify your business, and the password you choose.
- Orders and invoices: billing and shipping addresses, contact details, items ordered, order history and resale certificates for sales tax.
- Messages: what you send us through our contact form, email, phone, WhatsApp or at trade shows.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies: small files that keep you signed in, remember your cart and help us measure site traffic. See Cookies below.
- Approximate location: the country your IP address belongs to, which we use to show content that is available in your region. We do not store this.
2. How we use it
- To review trade applications and manage your account.
- To process, ship and support your orders, including returns.
- To collect and report sales tax, and to keep business records the law requires.
- To answer your questions and send you information you ask for.
- To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and block spam.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for their work:
- Square, which processes card payments and invoices. Card details are entered on Square’s secure systems and handled under Square’s privacy policy.
- Shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx and USPS, which receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
- Automattic (WordPress.com, Jetpack, WooCommerce and Akismet), which hosts site services, measures site traffic, protects the site from attacks and filters spam from forms.
- Our web host, which stores the site and its data.
- Professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers or others from fraud or harm.
If our business is sold or merged, customer information may be transferred to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
4. Cookies and third-party content
- Essential cookies keep you signed in, hold your cart and protect your account. The site cannot work properly without them.
- Statistics cookies from Jetpack Stats and WooCommerce Analytics count visits and page views so we can see which pages are useful.
- Embedded content: videos load from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode, only when you press play) and some photos load from Instagram. Those companies may collect data under their own privacy policies when their content loads or plays.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in or ordering from working.
Do Not Track. Our site does not change its behavior in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not allow other companies to collect personal information about your activity on other sites through ours, other than the embedded content described above.
5. How long we keep it, and how we protect it
- We keep account and order records for as long as your account is open and as long as tax and business laws require, typically up to seven years. Declined trade applications are deleted within a year.
- We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), two-factor sign-in for staff, access limits and security monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can review and update your account details by signing in, or ask us to do it for you.
- You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it or delete it. We will respond within 45 days. We may keep records the law requires us to keep.
- You can opt out of marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.
- California residents: under California’s “Shine the Light” law you may ask whether we have shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing. We have not. Depending on the size of our business, the California Consumer Privacy Act may also give you rights to know, correct and delete your information. We honor those requests and will not treat you differently for making them.
7. Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you contact us or order from another country, you understand your information will be handled here.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will post a notice on the site or email account holders.
