These Japanese Akoya strands are natural blue: their color comes from organic material laid down beneath the nacre as each pearl grew, not from dye. Every strand carries Pearl Science Laboratory's (PSL) Aurora Blue Rosé designation, which places it in PSL's strongest-luster (teri) category. The 8-8.5mm pearls are round, with a bright, mirror-like luster and flashes of rose and green interference color.
